Chinese Epoxy Resin Imports Decreased Sharply In April, And Exports To South Korea Ranked First

According to the data, Chinese epoxy resin imports declined in April, and the export volume increased year-on-year/month-on-month; the bisphenol A remained unchanged. Import and Export of Epoxy Resin
In April 2021, Chinese epoxy resin imports amounted is 27,100 tons, increased by 22.8% year-on-year, decrease by 25% month-on-month. The average import price was US$4,478 per ton, and the price increased by 28.3% year-on-year. The exports of Epoxy resin were 9,583 tons, increase by 92.5% year-on-year, the average export price is 4095 US dollars per ton, increased by 55.1% year-on-year.
Important Information
1. In April when foreign force majeure devices have basically returned to normal, the export volume of epoxy resins still increased significantly compared with the first quarter.
2. South Korea's imports of epoxy resin from China surged in April. South Korea imported only 655 tons of epoxy resin from China from January to March, and by April it had become China's largest importer of epoxy resin. South Korea has always been the main source of Chinese epoxy resin imports, second only to Taiwan, China.
3. The gradual decrease of the import and export price difference indicates that the quality of domestic epoxy resin is almost the same as that of imported goods. In April 2021, the import and export price difference of China's epoxy resin was US$384/ton, and the price difference in the same period last year was US$851/ton.
